Now in our 12th season of play, The Greater Hudson Valley Softball League is growing each year.... 2025 was our largest season in league history with over 300 teams participating! We are gearing up for a great 2026!

Augment your tournament or recreation schedule, play 3 or 33 games – you will need to play a minimum # of games to participate in the playoffs.  Weekday, weeknight, or weekends – single or doubleheaders…. Coaches connect and set the schedule that works best for your families....

2026 FALL & 2027 SPRING & SUMMER AGE REQUIREMENTS FOR USSSA (& USA SOFTBALL)

GHVSL HAS A September 1ST cutoff date for FALL 2026 season. This means for the 2027 year (starting this Fall), a player's age on AUGUST 31, 2026, will determine their eligible division.

• 8U - Player must be born AFTER 8/31/2017 - 30ft Pitch Distance (Kid/Coach Pitch) - 11" Softball

• 10U - Player Born AFTER 8/31/2015 - 35ft Pitch Distance - 11" Softball

• 12U - Player Born AFTER 8/31/2013 - 40ft Pitch Distance - 12" Softball

• 14U - Player Born AFTER 8/31/2011 - 43ft Pitch Distance - 12" Softball

• 16U and/or HS - Player Born AFTER 8/31/2009 or HS Graduating Classes of '26 to '30 - 43ft Pitch Distance - 12" Softball

We expect to host multiple levels of play in 8u, 10u, 12u, 14u, & HS. The GHVSL is ALWAYS focused on development, education, & sportsmanship of coaches, players, and umpires in Dutchess, Putnam, Westchester, Fairfield, Orange, and surrounding areas….
